COMMUNITY

Where it all began and where we continue to thrive.

I am a big believer in community efforts and am delighted to have an extensive team of enthusiastic testers and players who between them a vast knowledge of military history and games. This has created great things.  For Ancient wargaming we have the most complete set of army lists ever created – over 600 armies – and this entire piece of work is freely available to anyone at the MeG website.

Our community is growing all the time with new additions and with very active forums with people contributing to designs all the time – I am always listening.  We have forums for each period an already over 20 player FB and WA groups around the world already where people are chatting about CCC events and topics.

There are many 100s who have contributed, but mention needs to go to an inner team of historical and gaming experts who have helped extensively over the years (several of whom now have their names or the front over of CCC rules books).  So earnest thanks to the inner team of CCC games.  Richard Jeffrey-Cook (our MeG list meister, a  MeG co-author), Mark Bevis (my WW2 guru), Lance FlintNik Gaukroger (a MeG co-author) James Hamilton (founder of Battlefield Hobbies), Alasdair Harley (A ReG co-author now), Olivier Joucla, and Mark Roberts, plus and my local Wychbold Warriors test team of Matt McVeigh (aka Count Bohemond), Malcolm BarnfieldRichard Balizewski,.   Some more of these will appear as WW2 and Napoleonic co-authors in the coming years.  And I hope this ‘band of brothers’ will continue to grow.

For Total War I would like to add my personal thanks to several GameFound backers.  Many 100s have contributed but in particular these people should know that when times were dark it is their enthusiasm that kept me going.  Jacob Colley (aka ColleyFlour) from Celveland Ohio who did an amazing job putting the draft game onto TTS for people to enjoy. Graham Dent from Burton UK (aka Graham_Dent) who has given great input to the solo rules [and as he lives only 1 hour away may well get to play the non-solo version after all]. Simone Fondate form Italy (aka RobyGon) who has, amongst great comments everywhere,  given me domr superb ideas for our factions board.  Thomas Birthin Schmidt  Aarhus Denmark (aka Karl_Marx) who has proved and excellent communicator and will be assisting as a moderator on the TW forum. Jack Stewardson from Edinburgh Scotland (aka RomeAeterna) who has given great input to many aspects of the game as it has developed. Remi Tremblay from Quesbec Canada (aka Remit) who has given great input on everything. Without their enthusiasm, total War would not be where it is today … I look forward to many years of gaming fun with these Total War Centurions.

This community spirit and passion it what makes it all worthwhile.  I look forward to the community of Skull Rollers growing ever larger ….  Legiones Impetum!
